01. Bandages

This workshop aims to provide information about making different types of bandages in the correct way, necessary to cover different wounds, they can be used both post-operatively and in first aid, thus different types of bandages will be made such as: capelin bandage, “sling”, immobilization with rectangular cloth and many such bandages.

02. Biomap

Right from the admission, the students of the Faculty of Medicine take small steps closer to obtaining the title of doctor, but they are interrupted by a huge obstacle, the residency exam, for which the students prepare long in advance, from the first steps they think about asking hundreds of questions related to both the emotions during the exam and those before it and how they will be able to deal with them on the way to success, as well as about the preparation for the exam, its conduct and what happens after it. This workshop is meant to dispel these concerns from the students’ vision.

03. BT

The future is represented by uncertainty, so we will never know what opportunities it has in store for us, students being subjected to continuous training in pursuit of their scoops by which they do not miss these unique chances, an event of this magnitude can be represented by the foundation of a business, even if the idea would initially seem impossible with a preparation prior to this situation and with its appearance at the opportune moment everything becomes achievable. Thus, to train you, this workshop is more than sufficient to establish the essential foundations for the birth of future entrepreneurs.

04. Introduction to blood vessel approach and injections

No previous requirements

This workshop brings to the fore the cardiovascular system, with which the student is familiar by explaining certain notions, which will facilitate the understanding of different types of injections such as: intradermal, intramuscular, intravenous and subcutaneous. These will be followed by an exemplification through which the participants will be trained in: making blood collections from the superficial veins, administering solutions through various injections and setting up branula and infusions

05. Mini Knots and sutures

It is one of the most fundamental workshops through which the first steps in the field of surgery are taken, represented by the knowledge of: asepsis and antisepsis measures, surgical instruments, the correct execution of surgical knots, the notions of managing a wound, performing a hemostasis and different types of sutures. These skills being solidarized by the informative support coupled with practical activities, which lead to the efficiency of learning.

06. Upper digestive endoscopy

2nd YEAR

This workshop aims to guide the student to acquire the basic notions of a digestive endoscopy from the point of view of the way of performing the investigation, of the anatomical areas visible during the procedure, of the possibility of establishing a diagnosis based on the information collected during this procedure, and by putting the materials necessary for practice, the chance to master this method of investigation is given.

07. Burns

2nd YEAR

The purpose of this workshop is to bring to the students’ attention fundamental notions about people who present different types of burns, thus the general notions will be transmitted, but also how to perform first aid and what are the subsequent treatments of such cases.

08. Vascular Surgery

2nd YEAR & KS

It gives the student the chance to gain experience, familiarity with the theoretical notions and basic skills in vascular surgery, which will become a factor in choosing a career in this field. Thus, notions will be presented about: elements of vascular anatomy, physiology and histology, surgical instruments, indications and approaches specific to vascular surgery, about vascular dissection, vascular anastomoses, Cuff-Miller arterial anastomoses, aorto-aortic interposition, angioplasmy and arteriotomy, these being supported by practice that allows the participant to experience these techniques.

09. Bowels

2nd YEAR & KS

Addressed to all those interested in digestive surgery, it brings the chance to obtain the skills that will help them in their future surgical interventions at the level of the intestine, thus the student is given knowledge about the elements of anatomy, histology and surgical physiology of the small intestine, about the necessary instruments for the surgical procedure and how intestinal anastomoses are performed (end-terminal, end-lateral, side-lateral), intestinal resections and intestinal abutment. The student is provided with the necessary materials to practice all these techniques.
