1. Bandages

This workshop aims to provide information about making different types of bandages in the correct way, necessary to cover different wounds, they can be used both post-operatively and in first aid, thus different types of bandages will be made such as: capelin bandage, “sling”, immobilization with rectangular cloth and many such bandages.

2. Biomap
No previous requirements
Right from the admission, the students of the Faculty of Medicine take small steps closer to obtaining the title of doctor, but they are interrupted by a huge obstacle, the residency exam, for which the students prepare long in advance, from the first steps they think about asking hundreds of questions related to both the emotions during the exam and those before it and how they will be able to deal with them on the way to success, as well as about the preparation for the exam, its conduct and what happens after it. This workshop is meant to dispel these concerns from the students’ vision.

3. BT
No previous requirements
The future is represented by uncertainty, so we will never know what opportunities it has in store for us, students being subjected to continuous training in pursuit of their scoops by which they do not miss these unique chances, an event of this magnitude can be represented by the foundation of a business, even if the idea would initially seem impossible with a preparation prior to this situation and with its appearance at the opportune moment everything becomes achievable. Thus, to train you, this workshop is more than sufficient to establish the essential foundations for the birth of future entrepreneurs.

4. Introduction to blood vessel approach and injections

This workshop brings to the fore the cardiovascular system, with which the student is familiar by explaining certain notions, which will facilitate the understanding of different types of injections such as: intradermal, intramuscular, intravenous and subcutaneous. These will be followed by an exemplification through which the participants will be trained in: making blood collections from the superficial veins, administering solutions through various injections and setting up branula and infusions

5. Mini Knots and sutures

It is one of the most fundamental workshops through which the first steps in the field of surgery are taken, represented by the knowledge of: asepsis and antisepsis measures, surgical instruments, the correct execution of surgical knots, the notions of managing a wound, performing a hemostasis and different types of sutures. These skills being solidarized by the informative support coupled with practical activities, which lead to the efficiency of learning.

6. Upper digestive endoscopy
2nd YEAR
This workshop aims to guide the student to acquire the basic notions of a digestive endoscopy from the point of view of the way of performing the investigation, of the anatomical areas visible during the procedure, of the possibility of establishing a diagnosis based on the information collected during this procedure, and by putting the materials necessary for practice, the chance to master this method of investigation is given.

7. Burns
2nd YEAR
The purpose of this workshop is to bring to the students’ attention fundamental notions about people who present different types of burns, thus the general notions will be transmitted, but also how to perform first aid and what are the subsequent treatments of such cases.

8. Vascular Surgery
2nd YEAR & KS
It gives the student the chance to gain experience, familiarity with the theoretical notions and basic skills in vascular surgery, which will become a factor in choosing a career in this field. Thus, notions will be presented about: elements of vascular anatomy, physiology and histology, surgical instruments, indications and approaches specific to vascular surgery, about vascular dissection, vascular anastomoses, Cuff-Miller arterial anastomoses, aorto-aortic interposition, angioplasmy and arteriotomy, these being supported by practice that allows the participant to experience these techniques.

9. Bowels
2nd YEAR & KS
Addressed to all those interested in digestive surgery, it brings the chance to obtain the skills that will help them in their future surgical interventions at the level of the intestine, thus the student is given knowledge about the elements of anatomy, histology and surgical physiology of the small intestine, about the necessary instruments for the surgical procedure and how intestinal anastomoses are performed (end-terminal, end-lateral, side-lateral), intestinal resections and intestinal abutment. The student is provided with the necessary materials to practice all these techniques.

10. Echocardio
2nd YEAR
This workshop aims to guide the student to acquire the basic notions of an echocardiography from the point of view of the way the echocord works, the areas it investigates, the way of interpretation, and by putting the materials necessary for the practice, it gives the chance to master this method of investigation.

11. Laparoscopy
2nd YEAR & KS
This workshop creates an environment conducive to the acquisition of certain skills, notions and manual testing through the use of simulators, using both non-biological and biological materials, so the student can orient himself towards a career in this field, as it offers experience in: spatial orientation exercises in laparoscopic surgery; making intracorporeal knots in laparoscopic surgery; handling laparoscopic instruments; ligatures.

12. Basic Skills In Aesthetic Surgery
3rd YEAR & BSS
The purpose of this workshop is to give students the chance to experience cosmetic surgery, thus being able to make a decision about a lifelong career and to develop skills in this field as well as to obtain the basic knowledge, by interacting with different topics of this field: treatment with botulinum toxin; the use in facial treatments of products that stimulate collagen; “Vampire” therapy; the main interventions in aesthetic surgery; breast augmentation mammoplasty with silicone implants, and offering the chance to work with hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin.

13. Basic Skills In Microsurgery
3rd YEAR & BSS
Intended to provide a new experience in the field of surgery can guide the student to pursue a future career in this field by testing dexterity, hand-eye coordination, visual acuity, and familiarization with a number of techniques used such as suturing on a latex glove; Knots and sutures on the chicken leg; plan-by-plan closure suture; and consolidating knowledge about microsurgery, instruments specific to microsurgery and notions of handling under the optical microscope.

14. Cardiovascular Surgery
3rd YEAR & BSS
For those who have as an option a future career in cardiovascular surgery, this workshop can facilitate your choice by learning several skills in this field such as: By-pass aorto-coronary; aortic valve prosthesis; DSA repair; vascular anastomoses patch arterioplasty; all this being preceded by a theoretical part in which you familiarize yourself with the field by presenting the elements of surgical anatomy, physiology and histology of the cardiovascular system, the general surgical instrumentation and specific to cardiovascular surgery; surgical approaches in cardiovascular surgery; surgical pathology of the aortic valve; surgical pathology of the mitral valve and vascular prosthesis.

15. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
3rd YEAR
It brings to the attention of medical students plastic and reparative surgery through which a first contact with this specialty is made, which consists in assigning some fundamental notions and some techniques necessary in a future career, thus students come into contact with subjects such as: notions of handling of sensitive tissues; tendon sutures; locoregional flaps and plasties; post-operative management.

16. Basic Skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
4th YEAR & BSS
For those considering a career in obstetrics and gynecology, this is a workshop aimed at this field offering the chance to gain knowledge that focuses on clinical obstetric anatomy; gynecological clinical examination; pregnancy; leopold maneuvers; caesarean section; routine surgical techniques on the adnexa and uterus. And by providing the ability to practice, experience is obtained in the presented, but also in salpingotomy, hysteroafia, tubal ligation and childbirth in different presentations.

17. Basic Skills in Urology
4th YEAR & BSS
The purpose of this workshop is to give the student the opportunity to experience the techniques used in modern urological surgery and to help him choose a career in this field, thus bringing to the fore the familiarization with the fundamental notions, and the practice of certain techniques such as: termino-terminal uretheroraphy; ureter reimplantation; cystoraphy; partial nephrectomy.

18. Resection of stomach polyps

This workshop allows students to follow the first steps in digestive surgery, which consists in mastering the fundamental knowledge about elements of anatomy, histology and surgical physiology of the small intestine and about the surgical instruments necessary to perform specific techniques and obtaining the necessary skills in the management of digestive pathology following the exemplification of biopsy. of endoscopy techniques and the approach to treatment methods carried out through digestive surgery, helping to obtain the necessary experience to choose a future career in the field of digestive surgery.

19. Surgical Ophtalmology

Through it, the student can widen his horizon regarding a future career in ophthalmic surgery by experimenting with various specific surgical maneuvers, but also mastering the theoretical notions necessary to take the first steps in this field, thus the notions are presented and applied in a practical session such as: elements of eye anatomy; surgical instruments specific to ophthalmic surgery; microsurgical sutures; ocular incisions; ocular sutures; surgical treatment of glaucoma;

20. Thoracic surgery
4TH YEAR & BSS
It guides students in choosing a career in the field of thoracic surgery by making a first contact with this branch of surgery in which they will create a familiarity with the notions in this field as well as by acquiring skills necessary to perform certain techniques: oro-tracheal intubation; tracheostomy; thoracotomy and thoracorrhaphy; tracheal/bronchial anastomoses; tracheoplasty; lung resections; pulmonary sutures; aerostasis techniques.
